Bidet TroubleshootingUpdated 7 months ago

Are you having difficulty with your bidet? Perhaps it stopped working, or you recently purchased a bidet and it does not appear to work correctly. Whatever the circumstance, we have you covered.

My bidet doesn’t spray

If you just installed your Fanny Bidet, you may want to check the following:

  1. Make sure you’ve turned your water supply back on. You should be able to tell if your water supply is on if you hear your toilet tank filling up with water.

  2. If that doesn’t work, turn off your water supply, disconnect your flex hoses and make sure nothing is blocking your hoses or the T Adapter.

  3. If you suffer from low water pressure, you may want to turn the dial to a higher water pressure setting to make sure your bidet gets adequate water flow to trigger the spray nozzle to drop down.

I have a leak

If you have a leak, no need to panic, there’s an easy solution.

  1. If you’ve just recently installed your Fanny Bidet, try to hand-tighten all of the connections just a bit more until the leaking stops. For some of the metal fittings, you may need to use your trusty adjustable wrench to lightly tighten the fittings a bit more. Key word here is lightly.

  2. If that doesn’t work, turn the water supply valve to the off position and disconnect your hoses. If you did not use any Teflon Tape, you may want to do it now. Roll the Teflon Tape on counterclockwise for a few turns around the threads of each fitting, then reconnect all of your hoses and hand-tighten them snugly. Be careful not to cross-thread any fitting. Turn your water supply valve to the on position and your problem should be solved.

My spray nozzle isn’t extending

If your spray nozzle will not drop down, try to following:

  1. Make sure your water supply valve is in the on position. You can always count on a joker or two to play a prank and turn off the water.

  2. Make sure none of the flex hoses are kinked or pinched somewhere. This is not typical but it’s always good to cross the easy things off the list first.

  3. Make sure there that the nozzle is not getting caught on the rim of the bowl.

  4. Manually pull down the nozzle with your hand and make sure it is clean. We would advise using gloves for this part as someone may have come back from a spicy food restaurant, sprayed poop everywhere and something may have lodged itself in the nozzle somehow. You never know.

I'm not getting any hot water and the water is cold!

No need to panic, we have a couple of solutions you can try

  1. Check your sinks and shower to make sure you are getting hot water everywhere else.

  2. Check your hot water supply valve and make sure it is in the on position.

  3. Check the white plastic line to make sure that there are no kinks and that the line is not pinched somewhere.

  4. Try adjusting your water temperature dial as your heater may be warming water up if someone just took a really long hot water shower.

If all of the above fail, please give us a call and we will do our best to guide you and provide you with a solution to your troubleshooting needs.
